Carlo Frances is a graduate of BA Communication and Media Studies from University of the Philippines Visayas. He is currently teaching Broadcast Communication and Journalism courses. Prior to his career in the academe, he worked as a media practitioner for five years and was a Researcher/Multimedia Producer at ABS-CBN for the News and Current Affairs and Entertainment Production department under various TV shows—most notably, Rated K! and Maalaala Mo Kaya. He is also an MA Journalism candidate at University of the Philippines Diliman finishing his thesis on the news reporting of Indigenous peoples in Cordillera.
