The BA Communication Program

The BA Communication program provides students with an in- depth understanding of critical and analytical frames used in the communication discipline. It implements a “major-minor” scheme where students select a major area and a minor area among broadcast communication, journalism, and speech communication (e.g., major in speech communication and minor in broadcast communication). Although the program offers concentration areas, it emphasizes their interrelatedness by providing a core curriculum that focuses on their shared conceptual structures, frameworks, and methodologies.
