Junley L. Lazaga holds the distinction of being the first in UP Baguio to be conferred the title of UP Artist. Currently an Associate Professor of Literature, he has served as head of the Program for Indigenous Cultures (2012-2013), chairperson of the Department of Language, Literature and the Arts (2013-2018), head of the Graduate Programs Office (2018-2019), Director of Public Affairs (2019-2021), and as a member of the inaugural International Editorial Board of The Cordillera Review. A multilingual writer, poet, and translator, he has also edited important titles of Ilokano Literature.
