Sulong! Wikang Filipino at mga Wika ng Hilagang Luzon: Wika ng Katotohanan sa Panahon ng Disimpormasyon Nasalungguhitan sa mga pangyayari sa bansa at mundo nitong mga nakaraang taon ang pagkalat ng impormasyon. Nariyan ang impormasyong mula sa mga institusyong panlipunan gaya ng pamahalaan, militar, unibersidad, mga relihiyon, at midya. Sa patuloy na pag-unlad at paglaganap ng teknolohiya at social media, inuulan din tayo ng ibaโt ibang impormasyon tungkol sa mga sakit, baha, krudo, kuryente, korapsiyon, digmaan, at genocide, kasabay ang ibaโt ibang dance challenge, prank, trend, at vlog tungkol sa pang-araw-araw na buhay ng isang mamamayan sa ika-21 siglo. Ang ganitong paglaganap ng impormasyon ay naisasagawa dahil sa wika na maaaring hubugin at iangkop sang-ayon sa hinahangad ng nagpapalaganap: maglantad o magkubli ng katotohanan, pabulaanan o lalo pang pasidhiin ang kasinungalingan, nang hindi sinasadya o walang kamalayan. Mahalaga sa pagdalumat ng ganitong diskurso kapwa ang paggamit at pagkonsumo ng wika. Samahan ang Kolehiyo ng Sining at Komunikasyon ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Baguio sa pag-aambag sa unawa natin sa buhay ng impormasyon! The Department of Fine Arts of the College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design (CFAD), University of the East (UE) Caloocan, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Fine Arts Program of the College of Arts and Communication (CAC), University of the Philippines Baguio, on July 17, 2026 (Friday). The benchmarking delegation was headed by the Associate Dean of the UE College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design, Asst. Prof. Ronwell Jason L. Bacani, MGT. Joining him were Asst. Prof. Ruby G. Sapaula, MGT, Chair of the Department of Fine Arts; Asst. Prof. Richard S. Legaspi, Curator; and faculty members Asst. Prof. Ellen D. Villanueva, Mtr. Robert G. Dela Cruz, Mtr. James Ryan B. Belgira, and Mtr. Jose C. Mariano. The visit formed part of the department's continuing efforts to enhance its academic programs in preparation for the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) accreditation. The delegation was welcomed by CAC Dean Dr. Io Jularbal, College Secretary Dr. Maria Rosario Yumul-Florendo, DLLA Chair Felicisimo Galletes Jr., Fine Arts Associate Professor Joseph Andrew A. Carvajal, and Instructor Reynaldo Senin Jr. During the benchmarking activity, Associate Professor Carvajal presented the Fine Arts Program's best practices in curriculum development, teaching and learning strategies, creative research, extension initiatives, and other academic practices that have contributed to the advancement of Fine Arts education. The visit also provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange ideas and strengthen academic collaboration in support of quality assurance and program development.
